Apple has discontinued the iPod, 20 years after it was released.
The US tech large stated its iconic music player has been changed by different gadgets, making the iPod redundant.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice-president of worldwide advertising and marketing, said: "At this time, the spirit of iPod lives on.
"We have built-in an unbelievable music experience throughout all of our products, from the iPhone to the Apple Watch to HomePod mini, and across Mac, iPad, and Apple TV.
"And Apple Music delivers industry-leading sound high quality with help for spatial audio - there is no better approach to get pleasure from, discover, and experience music."
In October 2001, Steve Jobs debuted the original iPod and it was the first MP3 player that would maintain 1,000 songs and had a 10-hour battery life.
"With iPod, Apple has invented a complete new class of digital music participant that lets you put your entire music collection in your pocket and take heed to it wherever you go," he said on the time.
"With iPod, listening to music will never be the identical again."
Comparable MP3 gamers launched by Microsoft and Sony didn't have the same success as the iPod.
Apple has launched 5 variations of its music player - the Classic, Touch, Shuffle, Mini and Nano.
