College students stroll out of faculties in protest of gun violence

Days after a minimum of 19 elementary school college students and two lecturers have been killed in a mass taking pictures at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, college students at colleges across the country staged walkouts to protest gun violence.

"I cant imagine that being me; but it is possible as a result of it occurs so usually."

The 17 year-old says her faculty's administration was in assist of the walkout and he or she hopes the over 200 planned demonstrations across the nation send a clear message that college students are a "united front."

A walkout could not necessarily change legislation, Janoff mentioned, however these actions show "students are nonetheless united on this."

She said that though most college students aren't old enough to vote, they still want to see change and are keen to take measures to have their voices heard in politics.
