The household of an 11-year-old lady who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed through the shooting.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law referred to as me and she was just crying, like 'I feel it just hit Miah. I think all the things came to reality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera stated Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of the two teachers killed. Her pals and classmates had been additionally targeted.

Rivera stated that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah got some blood and put it on herself so she may fake she was lifeless," said Rivera. "It is too much for me to play that scene time and again, but that's what my sister-in-law mentioned is that she noticed her buddy filled with blood and she or he obtained blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been released.

"My brother said she had bullet fragments in her again," said Rivera.

Rivera, a mom of three, stated the household is rallying round Miah to help her get better physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this level, we just have to wish and ask God to assist us move ahead by way of this situation, I know it's traumatizing as it is," mentioned Rivera.
