Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of agencies responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager never made it inside the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area together with several different companies in an try to search out him.
The teen was discovered near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old may very well be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the college or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
