Wisconsin man celebrates 50 years of eating Big Macs on daily basis

MILWAUKEE (Spectrum News Milwaukee) - Don Gorske’s Large Mac streak started on May 17, 1972.

“I’ve only missed eight days in 50 years, which is phenomenal. And like I say, I count each Large Mac. I’ve counted each Huge Mac I’ve eaten my entire life,” Gorske said.

Gorske eats two Big Macs a day.

“All by means of life here, a lot of people stated, ‘You’ll be dead earlier than you attain 50 years of consuming Huge Macs.’ I guess I proved them flawed,” he stated.

His son is just not surprised at his father’s persistence.

“We at all times went to McDonald’s with my dad and had pleased meals. I always cherished my chicken nuggets, and my brother at all times loved his hamburgers. It’s how we grew up. It’s just an on a regular basis life sort of thing for us,” he said.

Gorske’s son has more of a different diet.

“I used to eat chicken nuggets every day. I used to eat cheeseburgers every single day, but finally you simply get sick of it. I don’t know the way he does it, but he definitely does,” he stated.

Gorske says he'll proceed consuming Big Macs with a Coca-Cola on the facet until he dies.

“Plenty of times folks will say, ‘You appear to be I’m eating a Large Mac for the primary time,’” Gorske mentioned. “I assume that’s how I feel typically. They’re that good to me, and there’s really nothing else I’d relatively eat,” he stated.
