Nashville Public Library launches ‘Freedom to Read’ marketing campaign

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's a subject that's taken maintain in Tennessee: books like "Maus" or "Stroll Two Moons" have been pulled from shelves.

"All of us watch the TV exhibits that we like; all of us watch the completely different sports or root for the totally different teams we're part of," said Brown. "Books are no completely different."

The objective is to get the 5,000 library playing cards within the hands of latest sign-ups this month.

"We're not attempting to be a push again — a power pushing back towards these choices — we need to be an alternative choice to say, if you might not have the ability to get it there... you may get it right here," said Brown.
