A California district lawyer declined to file prices Tuesday against former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson after he was recorded on video in a physical altercation with another passenger on a JetBlue flight.

San Mateo County District Legal professional Steve Wagstaffe made the decision after having reviewed police stories and movies of the April 20 incident. Each the passenger, who has not been recognized, and Tyson requested that no expenses be filed.

"Yesterday afternoon the San Mateo County District Lawyer’s Office concluded its assessment of the case involving Mike Tyson on the San Francisco Airport on April 20, 2022 and the allegation that he committed a misdemeanor battery in opposition to one other passenger on an airplane while ready at the terminal previous to departure," Wagstaffe mentioned in an announcement.

"Our resolution is that we will not file any expenses against Mr. Tyson based mostly on the circumstances surrounding the confrontation. These embody the conduct of the victim leading up to the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the sufferer, as well as the requests of both the victim and Mr. Tyson that no expenses be filed in this case," Wagstaffe said.

The case is now closed.

Cellphone video showed Tyson, 55, showing to attempt to punch somebody who was pushing him away. Representatives for Tyson said the individual was harassing Tyson. The video didn't show what happened earlier than the altercation.

David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Martin Sabelli, attorneys for Tyson, responded to the choice to not file fees by thanking Wagstaffe, the San Mateo County sheriff and regulation enforcement agencies "for their cautious, diligent, and professional work."
