BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after multiple indicators saying "college shooter" had been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security introduced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple fees.

An elevated amount of law enforcement officials were positioned at faculties in the communities on account of the signs. A number of schools initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators across the communities, the Division of Safety mentioned, but they determined there is no credible risk at the moment.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The protection department released a photo of the plate but blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of legal threatening and three misdemeanor charges together with false report to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged at this time.
