Question: does the GFCI still work if the house you are working on is not grounded?
Good show n tell. Can't wait to see more. Till next time 👊
You failed to mention that there is a wire cutter on the outlet. One side is 14 gauge and the other is 12 gauge. Great video. 😊
SHOULD NOT HAVE A METAL BOX!
Epic Fail! You used a metal gang box! Lmf@0.
Why wouldn't you use a plastic box just to have an added safety layer when pulling it around in areas where electrical tools are being used ??
7:14 cuts a Square Box and leaves a Round Hole
Pop needs to be the only one talking. Best lesson on this on YouTube.
What is this doing on youtube?
It has an earth, can handle the intended current, it's quality made and won't kill you while making or using it! Think you're on the wrong platform mate🤣
These days I wouldn't have modified it unless it was for myself or a trusted friend – otherwise you risk being sued. Back in the day it was different though.
I was told that OSHA DOSE NOT allow that tipe of extension cord have to buy new. County employees building maintenance.
HEY! YOUR A HYPOCRITE!!! (no offence!!!) (who aint?) I gave likes. :))
Yesterday, I commented about you saying you wouldn't modify an extension cord.
WELL!!! What do you say now? No big deal.
But; I would like to know, why, you said you wouldn't.
I hope it will be a good explanation. I saw you use a "nut driver" too.
You didn't mention, "it" when you spoke of tools used on a grounding screw.
I'm gonna keep my eye on you. :)) HAGO. Again thanks for all the tips.
AM LET YOU KNOW I DO AUDIO SET UP AND YES MAYBE ITS NOT UP TO CODE BUT TO WIRE STAGE MONITORS AND SPEAKERS IS REALLY HARD THIS IS AN AWESOME ALTERNATIVE INSTEAD OF RUNNING A BUNCH OF EXTENSION CORDS 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well done just upgrade the receptacles to heavy service or hospital grade. They'll wear out less often.
I am in the live audio trade, we use these types of cords all the time. Great idea for gaining receptacles in the field.
Osha has banned those in industrial places. No metal boxes on the end of a cord. Had to cut em all up. Still great or home tho..
Cool dude
is it better to have it unplugged or plugged in?
wtf is that tuco from breaking bad?
Well shit better put a cord mount on a saw horse and mount it to the saw horse so (it's mounted) ;- ) end the that box must be mounted comments …. Good video I like cord end protection…
Just watching you, I learned so many things that you didn't even address directly like bending the grounding wire with the hole on the strippers and tightening the wire nut with the end of the driver. Great vid.
Your mentor (master electrician) was making the device safer. I am sure the inspectors back then were also reasonable, wise men (yes, men), unlike the lunatic-left-educated dictators who pass for inspectors these days.
When u was kid my dad rigged up a version of the with a light in a metal cage with a hook a 360 gumball turn the light to light under the hood is there a way to fit a toggle switch for only using a selective outlet?
I just discovered your channel, and hit the button, i will be ckn you out regully, there is alot i dont know, about so you will be a big help around the farm. thanks for a great video.
Thank you very much I just learned a lot sausages I have one but not as good as Owl big black cord on it so thank you very much I will remember that first my days
Looking at thumbnail… "Oh yeah, that's a great idea. I know how to do that". After watching the whole video… "I have so, so much to learn."
