A woman visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers mentioned Tuesday.
The 25-year-old lady, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a news release from the park.
The lady approached the female bison Monday morning after it came near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, close to Outdated Trustworthy geyser, the park said.

An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison reside on the park, and they have injured extra individuals than another animal, the park mentioned.
When the visitor came within 10 toes of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 ft in the air, the park mentioned.
The lady had puncture wounds and other accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service mentioned. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two different people have been additionally close to the animal when it gored the woman, the park said. The discharge didn’t say in the event that they had been injured.
The park warned people to stay 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and at the least 100 yards from bears and wolves.
