The family of an 11-year-old woman who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother said the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed through the capturing.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law called me and she was just crying, like 'I think it simply hit Miah. I believe every part got here to reality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera mentioned Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of many two lecturers killed. Her pals and classmates had been also targeted.

Rivera said that is when Miah went into survival mode.
