The family of an 11-year-old girl who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother mentioned the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed through the taking pictures.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law known as me and she was just crying, like 'I believe it simply hit Miah. I think everything came to actuality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of the two teachers killed. Her buddies and classmates had been also focused.

Rivera mentioned that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah obtained some blood and put it on herself so she could pretend she was dead," mentioned Rivera. "It's too much for me to play that scene again and again, but that is what my sister-in-law mentioned is that she noticed her friend stuffed with blood and she acquired blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured however taken to the hospital and has been launched.

"My brother stated she had bullet fragments in her again," mentioned Rivera.

Rivera, a mom of three, stated the family is rallying round Miah to assist her recuperate bodily, emotionally and spiritually.
